A hospital designed with you in mind. Accessible, welcoming, people-centred and modern, the future Hôpital de Vaudreuil-Soulanges is being designed around the needs of patients, their loved ones and the teams who will work there.
Located in Vaudreuil-Dorion, at the intersection of Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes and Autoroute 30, the hospital is currently under construction. Construction is expected to be completed in 2027, with the hospital scheduled to gradually open beginning in summer 2028.

Why build a hospital in Vaudreuil-Soulanges?
The need for a new hospital is driven by the region’s growing population and evolving healthcare needs. Approved by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux in 2017, the clinical plan for the future hospital helped identify both current and future healthcare needs within the community. It confirmed the need to develop new hospital services in Vaudreuil-Soulanges to provide more care closer to home and to enhance the range of healthcare services offered by Santé Québec Montérégie-Ouest.
The future hospital will be part of an integrated healthcare network, working in complement with other Santé Québec Montérégie-Ouest facilities and the broader health and social services system.

Who is responsible for the future Hôpital de Vaudreuil-Soulanges?
The future Hôpital de Vaudreuil-Soulanges is led jointly by Santé Québec Montérégie-Ouest and the Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI). Each organization plays a distinct yet complementary role, working together to successfully deliver the project.
Members of both organizations are brought together within the project office, located at 2505 chemin de la Petite-Rivière in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Where will the hospital be located?
The site is located at the intersection of Autoroute 30 and Route 340, just off Autoroute 40, in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
The Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux and municipal and regional authorities determined it to be the best place for the new hospital in terms of size, location and access.
How will the hospital be activated?
The hospital’s delivery is scheduled for 2027.
Following construction, a technical and clinical activation phase will be required to gradually prepare the hospital to welcome its first patients and the teams who will work there. This phase includes commissioning the facilities, equipment, and various systems, as well as preparing staff and services for operations.
The hospital’s phased opening is planned for the summer of 2028. Services will be introduced gradually to ensure a safe and seamless transition while maintaining continuity of care and services for the population of Montérégie-Ouest.

Who will build the hospital?
The Société québécoise des infrastructures will act as project manager. Pomerleau is the general contractor for the hospital construction project.
Combien de nouveaux employés, gestionnaires et médecins seront requis pour le nouvel hôpital ?
On estime que 3 500 employés, 250 médecins et 250 bénévoles seront requises pour le nouvel hôpital.
Des démarches d’attraction et de rétention sont déjà en cours en vue de combler les besoins de main-d’œuvre du futur hôpital, toujours en s’assurant de maintenir l’équilibre avec nos milieux actuels.
